Purpose
Our purpose for this blog is to connect with parents and encourage and equip them to be the primary disciple makers in their home. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 states:
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."
Many times in today's society, parents/guardians leave the disciple making up to the pastors of the church. This is a good thought, but the pastors only have about 2-3 hours with your children a week. The reality is that you have much more time and opportunities to make in impact in the life of your children for the kingdom of God. We at Faith Kids Artesia want to walk along side of you and challenge you to have faith based conversations with your kids, to give them a good example to follow, and challenge them to be the kids that God is calling them to be.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
