February 5th

Wow, Super Bowl Sunday was awesome. It was pretty cool seeing all the kids representing their favorite sports and teams. We challenged them to be spiritual champions with our text from Romans 8:31 – 39. We discussed how God can help us overcome any challenge. We would encourage you to talk about the lesson with your kids and help them see areas where they need to rely on God to help them overcome. Remember find ways to connect with your children spiritually. It could be through worship, prayer, and Bible discussion. Lead them well.

What is coming up?

Have you been looking for a time to take your spouse out on a date, but having trouble finding a safe place and person to watch your children? Look no further. We are having a PARENT’S NIGHT OUT Feb 15 from 6pm to 10pm. This includes dinner for your child and fun activities.

Sign you child up at this link

$10 per child is the suggested donation.

Take advantage of this opportunity to invest in your marriage.

Friend Day is also coming up, and we want to challenge you and your family to pray and invite someone to join you on this Sunday. 80% of people say they started coming to church because of a personal invite. It is so simple yet we forget sometimes how easy it is. So, who will you invite to Friend Day on Feb 24th?

Weekly Challenge

Who is speaking life into your children? The Bible tells us our words can be as sharp as a two-edge sword, but also can be a life giver. You see when we speak words of affirmation, love, and encouragement we are speaking life into our children. Yes we have to rebuke and discipline our kids, please do this, BUT we should also be speaking into their hearts words of love and encouragement.

Simple phrases like “You are wonderfully made”. Ask them if they know who created them? GOD did! Remind them that God has created them for a purpose and God doesn’t make mistakes.

We want to challenge you this week to be intentional and speak LIFE into your children. Make it point to sit them down and remind them how amazing and awesome they are. The gifts they have are from God. They are a gift from God.

Parenting can be hard, but with God we can do it the right way. Keep up the great work in bringing up the next generation of spiritual champions.

In Christ,

Paul and Andy
