God Loves you just the way you are

Happy Monday,

Love – such a strong word and such an under appreciated word. This month on Sunday’s we are going to talk about LOVE. God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. I think as believers we forget the magnitude of this. I know I do sometimes. How cool is it to know we serve a God that requires nothing from us. He gave us the gift of salvation for FREE. MAN THAT IS LOVE.

I am so thankful for that kind of love and reminder. This past Sunday we talked about how God loves us for who we are, not who we pretend to be. He doesn’t want us to pretend to be something we are not. We talked about the anointing of David from 1 Sam 16. David was a boy and on the outside was not “KING” material, but God knew his heart and who is was on the inside. This is a great reminder for all of us that God wants our hearts to follow Him and not try and be something we are not.

How can you connect with your kids?

1. At dinner talk about why David did not fit the mold?

a. The worlds standards vs. God’s standards.

2. Discuss the gifts that God has given your children and how they can use these to glorify God not themselves.
